Frequently asked questions
Can we keep our numbers?
Yes, most numbers can be ported to Google Voice; we check portability first.
Does it work with desk phones?
Yes, supported desk phones and ATAs, including zero-touch HP Poly.
Does it support 911?
Google Voice supports emergency calling; VoIP emergency features differ from traditional phone lines, and we walk you through the setup.
How long does porting take?
Timing depends on number portability, your carrier and accurate account records. We agree a target cutover after the carrier accepts the request. Keep your existing service active until the port is complete.
